Have you a favourite video clip of Jonathan performing? it is hard to choose just one as there are many wonderful clips. Here is one of many that I have enjoyed.
Thank you Sue, Debby, Jane and Moderator* for your clips, so clear felt I could have been sitting beside you. I am enjoying finding my way around this forum before which I knew nothing of Jonathan’s itinerary fascinated to hear that Jonathan performed on a cruise liner etc.
I have to say I love this video taken by Jonathan's sister, Charlotte Antoine, because it was taken on the AZURA Cruise in April 2013. I had travelled from Scotland to see and hear Jonathan in a LIVE performance and was rewarded with THREE one hour concerts over the 4 day Cruise. Jonathan was part of the duo then, and only just 18 yrs old. I was astonished anew at the maturity in his phenomenal voice. I had never followed Classical music or Opera before and I didn't have a clue what Jonathan was singing about but his performances held me spellbound and I've been spellbound ever since. I now know this is "Una furtiva lagrima" (A furtive tear)
I adore this video also taken by Charlotte Antoine when Jonathan only 19 yrs old, was invited by David Foster to perform in the USA in 2014. I especially love the Opera Backdrop while Jonathan performed
Every clip has something special to offer because this artist brings a rare magic to every live performance - hope Morag posts her video of his performance of La Donne E Mobile at the Cliffs Pavillion as his characterisation is brilliant & makes me pray even harder that he goes in for opera eventually- I have to admit every time I hear the Cruise mentioned I am green with envy - his live rendition of Empty Chairs must have pinned the audience to their seats - just riveting and sooo young then - straight off BGT!!! -I have to say that my favorite has to be seeing Che Gelida Manina live for the first time! but he is so overwhelmingly mesmerising at all his live performances a favorite clip is hard to pick!
I love that one but also love Che Gelida Manina posted today
I love them all but must admit I do like to see Jonathan draped in the Union Jack, makes me want to burst with pride 🇬🇧🎉🇬🇧
So many fabulous clips to choose from!
The first audition on BGT..everytime i watch it..it makes me cry..Jonathan has come so far since then..we are all so proud of him X

from act 2, scene 8 of the Italian opera L'elisir d'amore by Gaetano Donizetti performed by an 18 yr old UK Tenor!

O Sole Mio
Two wonderful clips Morag, thank you for sharing them. Isn’t It nice to revisit some of the earlier clips from Jonathan’s career.
